First Game

Post  iain on Sun Mar 01, 2009 3:06 am

Hi guys,

Well, that's the first game done and dusted - thanks very much to all of you that turned up. I certainly enjoyed it and I hope you guys did (oh and I hope we've not traumatised you too much Tom)!

As we announced at the end of the game all news articles will be posted on a seperate news forum that I'm going to create on this site, which means that you'll simply receive your character sheet, downtime results and personal rumours at the game. See? We're environmentally friendly Storytellers

We also announced the format that downtimes are going to take - I'll post this seperately on the forum for future reference. It's dead simple but it's worth knowing.

Experience wise everyone will get one XP for turning up, one XP if Anna and I thought you made a significant contribution to the night's frivolity, one XP if we thought you were roleplaying well and one XP if your peers nominated you for good roleplay. So that's a maximum of four. You don't get any XP for submitting a downtime - blame the people who put me off that idea after the first Sabbat game we ran and who got peeved when I wouldn't award them XP for a downtime that read "Hunt for blood."

Downtime dead line is the 15th of March. No extensions.

Cheers!

Thank you all for making a great game last night. It was fabulous to see everyone in character from the point we timed in right through to the point the lights came back up after the Ironworks excursion - and to see those characters blossom into life

Don't forget to email glowing commendations of each other's roleplay to us...

...and of course, any fiction gladly received. No XP for fiction, just the warm fuzzy satisfaction of a good story.

Actually, Anna makes a very good point - you all did stay in character for the whole game which really helped things along. In smaller games all it takes a few moments of OOC frivolity and before you know it there's been a good few minutes wasted on non-game chat.

So well done peoples!

Maybe we traumatised them a bit more than we thought?

You did look pained when you said "Can I spend a point of willpower please?" =D

Trauma is good. That should make you want to post more, so you can get advice from guys like me, who've gone well beyond the point where trauma can touch us ever again. ^.^

Or you could always get Bookworm or Healer to give you your daily affirmation, hold you softly and tell you it's going to be alright. >.>

George doesn't buy into all that homo-erotic bullshit. The MP3 Player of Doom (TM) doesn't change the fact he has a man's job to do.

Ahem.

I mean, thanks for the offer

Personally I'm too embarassed to tell the group what Ruth has done. We have enough enemies to look out for without opening ourselves up to be torn apart by you lot.
