Question

Post  Roe459 on Tue Mar 31, 2009 7:11 am

How do monsters make other monsters? You've said alot about ghosts getting traped to objects, but what about the others? Do they 'infect' people by biting or scratching?

Maybe I wasn't being direct enough. I have been cut open by creature that drinks blood and has massive claws. Has it infected me? Will my fingernails start growing and will I develop a thirst for blood or is it just going to give me a scar?

Re: Question

Post  rigger111 on Wed Apr 01, 2009 7:25 am

You gave it 24 hours and expected a response? Buddy... there's people who go on this fucking site once a fucking YEAR. No shit. Really. For example, when was the last time you saw a fucking post by Dictarix11? You haven't. But some of us know for a fact that crazy bitch is still out there, or they'd have posted up a death notice for her. So don't get your fucking panties in a knot, unless you want to find out the hard way the answer to your stupid fucking question.

Which, by the fucking way, you should already know. NO, you can't catch fucking Vampiritis. Do your fucking homework, dumbfuck. Vampires have to drain you dry and feed you their own blood just before you die. For fuck's sake, I've been inside a library all of once this year, and even I fucking know that.

Now if you had been BITTEN by something furry, ten feet tall and with a mouth full of fangs, it's a different story. As stands, about the only disease you got is Numbfuckitis.

Sorry. I won't bother you again, then when I really do get into a situation that makes me one of them you can go to the trouble of blowing my brains out after that happens, you know, when I have the superhuman strength and nasty temper.

Please be more patient in future, Roe. As you probably have gathered this site caters to a rather specialised user base. It is certainly not some kind of self-help forum where you can easily expect to find a dozen or so bored net-users hanging around at any given hour.

While Rigger is probably correct you can never be to sure - as part of this calling it pays to check, check and check again.

If you are on friendly terms with nearby imbued I would suggest having one of them cast their eyes over you and see what they can find.

And think about it this way: If every Hunter who had been bitten or clawed became a monster then we wouldn't have many left.
Ol' Riggers had at least nine of his eight pints of blood knocked out of him in his life, just so happens the fates decreed he should have the ablity to keep standing up.

What he said. And I HAVE been bitten by Flickers. A few times. And I still come up clean to the Sight.

subject: Roe459's Question

There are those here who believe that conventional wives' tales hold true with monsters. I am not one of them. Most of the common lore does not apply, such as being infected by a w_r_w_lf's bite or becoming a gh_st by dying violently. In many cases, it falls to a matter of moral and ethical consideration--most especially for a Chosen like ourselves. We, like our prey, possess power that makes us stronger than the Blind. What makes a monster is how that power is used. Those who become the Enemy tend to do so voluntarily, contrary to popular belief among the bleeding hearts of our little community.

It is not so much an affliction of body and mind as it is a willful acceptance of an affliction of spirit. To invite the darkness inside. So long as you refuse to give up your humanity, you will live and die as a human. Those we fight have chosen to forsake that gift. They have allowed the cancer into themselves. And the darkness has remade them in its image.

So does anyone know if the abortionist murderer has sprouted fangs yet? Because if this is the case I'll happily assist in putting them down.

Crusader, why don't you take that right wing agenda of yours and shove it firmly up your ass? You might not agree with Roe's political views, but he's one of us for fuck's sake. What's more he's clearly had a run in with one of the Enemy and the poor fucker's scared and wanting comfort. It doesn't help at all when some glassy-eyed Nazi like you looms into view and threatens to gak his ass. Seriously man, take your thousand-yard stare and just back the fuck off!

Roe - hope you're ok, man!
